As Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and head of Colour’s public affairs practice, Rob’s leads a team of spirited professionals who work for many diverse clients, including such sectors as health care, energy, financial services, transportation, gaming and others.

Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, Rob earned a Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and from 1996 to 1999 he worked in research and legislative positions with the office of the Leader of the Opposition in Nova Scotia and several Members of Parliament in Ottawa. From 1999 to 2005 he was a key member of Nova Scotia Premier John Hamm’s senior team, first as Press Secretary and subsequently as Director of Communications.

An active community volunteer, Rob serves in leadership roles for such organizations as Mount Saint Vincent University, Neptune Theatre Foundation, Halifax Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Halifax Region’s Annual Campaign. Rob was chosen by the United States Department of State as one of Canada’s representatives in its select International Visitor Program and in 2008 received a Community Mentoring Award from Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Halifax.

For the past number of years, Rob has commented on current events and public relations trends for CBC Television, CTV, CBC Newsworld, Radio-Canada and le Réseau de l’information.
