One of the company's resident sales gurus, Jeff Fader held multiple positions in the wireless telecom industry, where he won several corporate sales awards, before starting at Blue Ocean in September of 2009. Working in an industry where each client had very different requirements and where nothing was an "off-the-shelf" solution prepared him well for his new role. "I had become more of a 'Solutions Consultant' which is similar to my role here considering Blue Ocean's customized approach to program development," he says.
As an Account Representative, Jeff manages key sales accounts including maintaining a list of over 100 prospective targets. "My job is to find clients who have customer contact programs that would be an ideal fit for Blue Ocean," he says. Jeff also supports the Sales and Marketing team through other business development tasks like proposals, information requests and client visits.
A proud father of a 2 year old girl, Jeff believes that taking the time to understand a potential client's core business creates more of a valuable partnership rather than being just another vendor. "The contact management outsourcing sales processes can be as short as six weeks or as long as multiple years, but in any scenario it is important to build relationships with potential new clients and it’s my job to help us do that," he says. "Once an opportunity arises, we want to be certain that the companies we target are aware of Blue Ocean’s capabilities and unique value offering."
Someone who describes themself as a golfer, albeit a poor one, Jeff believes that the most exiciting part of his job is
building relationships with potential new clients, which oftentimes include key influencers and decision makers for some of the world’s most recognized brands. "Just the other day I had a conference call with a Senior Director for one of Fortune’s top 10 companies. That’s pretty cool," he says, "and not uncommon."
Happily married for six years, Jeff believes that Blue Ocean has an incredible team of leaders that are pioneers in the Contact Center industry. "They provide opportunities for every employee by building on their individual strengths and providing direction and mentorship," he says. "It is through this philosophy of personal and professional growth that made me realize this was a company for me to plant roots in." As Jeff continues to plant himself, he's aggressively pursuing the company's next big accounts!
